Paula Rivers is the founder, audiologist, and co-owner of RK Audiology. She opened the practice in 2011 with fellow audiologist Janet Krueger, and the two of them are the R and the K in the name.
Paula grew up in Mineral Wells, TX, riding motorcycles, running heavy equipment, and listening to loud music, all without ear protection. That early noise gave her a personal reason to care about protecting hearing, and it still shapes the advice she gives patients today.
She graduated cum laude from Texas Christian University, then earned a second bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from Texas Woman’s University. Her Master of Science in Audiology is from the University of North Texas.
Paula leads the RK audiology team and works at both Austin clinics. She has taught Amplifying Systems in Aural Rehab to doctor of audiology students at The University of Texas at Austin. As an early adopter of new technology, she has deep expertise in custom-fit devices and hearing aids built to work with smartphones.
